This may count as brand interference, or even product placement, but I don't care because it's still meta. Thanks Igloo!  I myself just bought a cute Igloo tote bag at Target to carry drinks in disguise to the park during #coronavirus - big fan. A reindeer in shades, wearing a reindeer in shades. Happy New Year! This holiday season I had the joy and honor of borrowing this fine ugly christmas sweater from my friend Kendall. Then, last week while home for the holidays, my mom found a bunch of my stuff (sleeping mask and goggles, specifically) scattered around the house and wanted to put it on my bed in a Godfather-esque message.... and she happened to have wooden deer decor adorning our front lawn.... So I go to bed one night to find this scary dressed reindeer, dressed in an image of itself, to remind me to get my act together. Creepy! #meta #thegodfather

The show UnREAL, which I just started watching, is a super interesting meta TV show that is "critically acclaimed" according to Hulu. It's an interesting concept: about the lives and drama of the producers and freelancers behind the scenes of a hit reality dating show (a hypothetical, but modelled after the Bachelor or something). A show about the reality behind a reality show!!!!!! #metaTV

Things that are meta?  Being grateful for gratitude of course. And once you know how great it feels to be grateful for great stuff, and all the science on just how effective feeling gratitude is for increasing your happiness and decreasing your stress, how could you not be grateful?

I read about this sitcom on the airplane - it's a modern day redo of a telenovela, super popular in both Spain and Latin America. A modern day telenovela in which its protagonists sit around eating sandwiches watching an actual telenovela on TV?  That's too meta for the CW, even.

Self explanatory, I feel. #sockmonkeys Thanks Becca, who adds: " In case you're looking for material, I once bought you socks with sock monkeys on them because they were meta-socks but then they got lost in the depths of Rushab's car and I never found them again. So here's a picture that I found on the internet of sock monkey socks." Dammit, Rushab's car!

He's a ghost.  He's The snapchat ghost in fact. But what do you do when you are at a concert, and you see more ghosts?  Projected on the tent? You take a snapchat photo of them and make a ghosted ghost!  And have a friend teach you how to make pretty snapchat drawings. PS. Since you asked, I'm pretty sure a screenshot of a snapchat, which I took to procure the above images, is fairly meta as well.  Yep.

It's October, so you know what that means: time to start brainstorming extensively and angsting aggressively about halloween costume ideas. Is it going to be a hot October or a cold October?  Am I going to need to find some way to integrate a warm coat into my costume without totally ruining the look? The list of big important questions goes on. One such question is, of course, how do you make and wear a meta halloween costume?  You dress up as a costume of a costume, of course! Ideas include: 1.  a costume of a slutty halloween costume; (just do google image search "slutty halloween costumes" for brilliant inspirations) 2. an "ironically un-sexy Halloween costume, being warn ironically of course,"  3. and why not, "a basic bitch dressed up as ebola for halloween this year." The hard part here, I think, will be convincing people that you are trying to be meta.  Let me know how it goes. Source: thanks Jim for the costume ideas.
